Tramways

Being born in the famous seaside town of Blackpool, I was fated to have an interest in trams and tramways. Most of the photographs so far are of Blackpool, but as time permits I hope to include pictures of various other tramway systems.

I am a member of three tramway societies, the Fylde Tramway Society, the Tramway Museum Society, and the Light Rail Transit Association.

The Fylde Tramway Society is dedicated to the support and study of the Blackpool tramway. It holds monthly meetings in Blackpool and produces a monthly journal, the Fylde Tramway News. For further details, contact the membership secretary :

The Tramway Museum Society operates the National Tramway Museum at Crich, Derbyshire. Their website includes an impressive photo archive covering many of the olf Vritish tramway systems.
The Light Rail Transit Association promotes the development of modern light rail and tramway systems. They publish a monthly magazine called Tramways & Urban Transit.
